SjW Mushrooms was started by Steven Willemse. Steve and his family created Qld Mushrooms at North Maclean and grew on average around 70 ton of mushrooms per week. Since the family sold the farm, Steve wanted to continue growing, so we took on the old Woodford Mushroom farm. Steve has since purchased another farm on the Sunshine Coast (Chevallum) which will see Steve producing about 30 ton of mushrooms per week. Chevallum farm will be run by our son Rhys, who is a 3rd generation mushroom farmer. Steve has been involved with mushrooms since he was a baby and has worked in all areas of mushroom cultivation. Steve has been growing mushrooms for 29 years and has a reputation as being one of the best growers in Australia.
