More about Singing Bridge

The Singing Bridge is a Pennsylvania truss bridge that carries 2 lanes of traffic and 2 walkways across the Kentucky River in Frankfort, Kentucky. The bridge carries approximately 6,000 cars per day as of 2009. It was built in 1893. The bridge originally carried U.S. Route 60 (US 60) until that highway was eventually rerouted downstream on a new bridge. The bridge gets its name from the humming noise it makes as cars travel across its steel deck.
