Hi, im Lyndal Simmonds – I am a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Spatial Analyst and Digital Cartographer. I have a Bachelor of Applied Science (Geology/Archaeology) and have studied for Masters of Applied Science (GIS). I have previously worked as Geologist for 10 years in Mining and Exploration in Victoria, Queensland and South Australia. Following on from then, I have been working as a GIS professional for the last 10 years in Cultural Heritage Management working closely with Archaeologists, Anthropologists and Australian Aboriginal groups from South Australia, Western Australia and Victoria.

I create high quality custom digital maps suitable for publication, presentation and research from spatial databases and from your field data. My maps are of the highest cartographic standards. I can download your GPS and process your field data to generate cultural heritage databases suitable for conducting spatial data analysis and/or for submission to third parties. Spatial data analysis including predictive modelling for archaeological purposes is a specialty of mine and I have had success with creating spatio-temporal maps to support the Native Title Claim process.

I can download and process your GPS data from your fieldwork, holidays or leisure activites. Creating custom maps for presentations or reports is my specialty as I have a vast amount of experience in the professional industry primarily mining, exploration and heritage.
