* Meet those at risk, identify their needs, and work with them towards achieving viable solutions
* Liaise with government, community and private providers of needed services
* Support people to achieve affordable, secure and appropriate housing in the area

Originally the joint Working Group on “Homelessness” formed by the St. Anne’s Parish Social Justice Group and the Seaford Community Committee, the group is now known as SHAC (Seaford Housing Action Coalition).

One of our first projects was to work with the residents of the Seaford Beach Cabin Park to achieve a 10-year lease, rather than have the Park closed and the community disbanded (for a carpark for visitors to Frankston) - Refer: http://www.seafordcc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=93
