Samurai Ju Jitsu Dorset is a Tasmanian martial arts and self defence class run by Sensei L. Burch (ni-dan), located in Scottsdale, Bridport and Launceston.

Currently our hours are:

Scottsdale
Junior 5:00PM - 6:00PM Wednesday
Senior 6:00PM - 7:30PM Wednesday

Bridport
Junior 3:00PM - 4:00PM Wednesday

Launceston
Senior 18:15PM - 19:45PM Friday

Our location in Scottsdale is St. Barnabas Hall in King Street.

Our Bridport location is the Community Hall on Main Street. See below for more information.

The new Launceston class is held in the Newnham Utas gym facility. Due to the greater hire fee, the cost will be $8 for students or $10 for non-students.

Junior classes are suitable for anyone aged between 5 - approx. 14.
Senior classes are suitable for anyone else!

Pricing information:

The first lesson is free as a trial to see if you enjoy the class.
From then on the cost is $5 per lesson in Scottsdale, and $6 in Bridport due to mat hire.

For membership with the Australian Ju Jitsu Association (AJJA), which covers insurance and allows your gradings to be recognised nationally, costs are:

$20 junior, $10 renewal

$40 senioror, $20 renewal

$60 family, $40 renewal.
