The SAHMRI facility is co-located in Adelaide's dynamic new health precinct, adjacent to the new Royal Adelaide Hospital (new RAH). The unique co-location of research and hospital services will create synergies between researchers and clinicians, integrate health and medical research into clinical practice, and help attract and retain key researchers and scientists to South Australia.
The Institute has drawn together more than 600 researchers in a state of the art, purpose-built 25,000 square metre facility in the west end of Adelaide.
As South Australia's flagship research facility, SAHMRI is providing a clear focal point for health and medical research in the state and will significantly increase the nation's capacity for world-leading scientific research.
