Rural Fire Risk Consultancy Pty Ltd trading as RUIC Fire, specialises in providing Fire Design, Planning and Risk Solutions. The company has been established with over a decade industry experience in frontline metropolitan, rural and industrial emergency response, management and risk mitigation. This experience includes professional structural fire and bushfire response; technical rescue; hazardous materials response; as well as the preparation of response plans; risk assessment and planning.

Since commencing operations in the South West mid 2011, RUIC Fire has provided satisfied clients with Bushfire Management Plans and BAL Assessments for both private and commercial subdivisions and developments worth over $100 million. Proud to support the local community, RUIC Fire has provided free BAL assessments to residents whose houses were damaged or destroyed following the devastating 2011 Margaret River and the 2014 Parkerville/Stoneville/Mt Helena Bushfires. RUIC Fire also works with local builders to ensure understanding and compliance with the introduction of AS3959 into the Shire of Augusta Margaret River and the City of Busselton, through the provision of education on bushfire resilient design and construction to the Master Builders Association, Australian Institute of Building Surveyors and the Australian Institute of Architects.

Who are RUIC Fire?

RUIC Fire employs a team specialising in bushfire engineering and performance based designed solutions. All RUIC Fire consultants have completed postgraduate studies in the field of Bushfire Protection and Design and are well versed in research, evidence based practice and the use of industry best practices. RUIC Fire supports regulation of Bushfire Consultants and the Bushfire Protection and Design Accreditation Scheme.

In conjunction with the development of certified bushfire modelling software, this enables RUIC Fire staff to develop alternate bushfire construction solutions; undertake vegetation fuel structure and hazard assessment; calculation of heat flux in accordance with AS3959:2009 Methodology 2; and develop comprehensive risk management plans.
