Royal United Services Institute of Western Australia

The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) of Western Australia was founded in Perth in 1902. The original aim centered on improving the education of Service Officers by promoting the study of strategic and defence matters. A defence oriented library was established, which today contains a fine collection. The RUSI of WA is a Constituent Body of the Royal United Services Institute of Australia.

The RUSI of WA holds evening lecture meetings (at 8.00 pm), usually on the fourth Thursday of most months at the RUSI rooms in Building 13 at Leeuwin Barracks, Fremantle. An annual seminar and an annual dinner are usually held, as are, occasional visits to Defence establishments. Evening lectures cost $5.00 which includes light refreshments after the lecture.
