The Museum known as Nukku Nook is situated at the head of the Rail Trail in Blackbutt in the South Burnett region of Queensland. Only becoming established in 2011 it is a work in progress. The vision to display the innumerable stories and old photos from the surrounding districts of Benarkin, Blackbutt, Taromeo, Nukku, Gilla and Googa from the year 1842 forward is surely coming to fruition. Many of the older generation have been instrumental in sharing their memories with both oral history and family photos. A documentary can be seen via the website showing the reconstruction of the Taromeo Cemetery after the devastating floods of 2012. A number of the history group assisted with this project.
