The Prince Street Reserve is situated in Prince Street Rosedale in Gippsland approximately 184 kilometres east of Melbourne on the Princes Highway.There is a statue of Patrobas who won the Melbourne Cup in 1915. Patrobas is the only horse to win the Caulfield Guineas, the VRC Victoria Derby and the Melbourne Cup in the same year. The three year old colt was owned by Mrs Edith Widdis who lived at Nambrok Station and ridden by Bobby Lewis. The grounds and the buildings are well maintained and provide a wide variety of facilities available for use by the community, these include: a children's playground, free gas barbecue,picnic tables, skateboard park,half court basketball ring, toilet block and a large grassed area. The reserve is used by the Australia Day Committee to hold a breakfast barbecue and the Australia Day Ceremony every year for the presentation of awards.The building is available for hire for functions and events.
