Rose River Run

Rose River Run is situated in Cheshunt, at the gateway to the picturesque Rose River region in Victoria, Australia. We are a family owned and operated local business, specializing in the education and training of horses with a 'history'.

We are currently in the 'building' stage of our operation, and will be ready to receive clients and their horses on property later in 2014. Horse assessment, and basic riding instruction are available off site, to those with horses in the local area.

Both Jamie and Hannah have been actively involved in the professional and recreational horse industries for a combined total of 50 years (?!) and are accredited with Horse Safety Australia. www.horsesafetyaustralia.com.au

Our 50ha property was purchased at the beginning of 2013, with a view to transform it into a well equipped and inviting training facility, where people and horses of various abilities and backgrounds are comfortable, well cared for, and leave with more confidence than when they arrived.

Rose River Run does not subscribe to a particular 'brand' of horsemanship. Rather, we look for the merits in the training methods used by many different horsemen (and horsewomen) worldwide.

Our own horses, being a mixture of 'Off The Track' Thoroughbreds, random bargains, and our wonderful Clydesdales, are used regularly at festivals and events both locally and interstate. These range from street parades, to carriage rides, weddings, Santa's deliveries, cavalry duty (for the French, English, and U.S. Confederates - its exhausting!), Australian Lighthorse, skill at arms, medieval horse sports, even stagecoach and train holdups.
