Roonka is owned and operated by Scouts SA volunteers and is the perfect destination for those who want all the excitement of canoes and water sports, while also enjoying a relaxing camp with all their friends.
Set on the tranquil banks of the River Murray, near Blanchetown, Roonka features its own launching facility and a private billabong.
Roonka is considered a very diverse campsite in South Australia and is an accredited Australian Tourism Business.
Roonka offers bunkhouse accommodation, camping for small or large groups and caravan sites. With its wide range of activities and fully equipped kitchens, Roonka is ideal for Scout groups, school camps, Church camps, canoeing groups, social clubs, Cub and Joey camps, and for family or group camps.
The peaceful river front at Roonka has seating, a waterslide, a launching area, pontoon and plenty of shade for the warmer months. The Billabong provides a safe environment for beginners of water sports. This lovely clean campsite provides all the facilities needed for days of fun and entertainment.
