Ronald McDonald House Westmead is built on the simple belief that when a child is seriously ill, nothing should stand in the way of their family staying close to support them. The House provides a safe haven where there’s no need to worry about where they can afford to stay, when and where they will have their next meal, or where they will lay their heads at night to rest.
The House relies on support from corporate partners and the community to raise the necessary funds to continue providing families with a ‘home away from home’, where they can stay close and support each other while drawing comfort from staff, volunteers, and other families.
How can you help?
The House welcomes donations, and also runs volunteering programs for individuals, corporate and community groups.
Individuals can offer as little as four hours a week, month, or twice a year, while corporate and community groups can offer their time to spend a day volunteering at the House, or cook a Meals from the Heart dinner for families.
