Rocky Ridge Retreat farmstay In Mudgee - Away From the Hustle and Bustle

Ben and I live on a 25 acre property 12 minutes from Mudgee. This has been our home for 17 years and is still a work in progress as we strive to become a little more self-sufficient on our hobby farm. We don't have manicured lawns and gardens nor do we have an endless supply of rain, sadly. We run a few Wiltipoll sheep, grow a few fruit and nut trees and are at present are trying our hand at aquaponics. We have our own smokehouse and Ben makes our speck (smoked bacon) and other smallgoods. We both enjoy cooking and trying to live fairly simply.

Our self-contained accommodation with an ensuite has everything you need for a comfortable stay -- queen sized bed, air-conditioning, electric blanket, hair dryer, iron, flat-screen TV (no FOXTEL), toaster, kettle, coffee machine and microwave. We can't offer internet access so keep this in mind please when making a reservation. If you bring your own, reception should be fine though.

There's a private bbq area with seating for two or you are welcome to sit on our bull-nosed verandah to take in the stunning view while you wine and dine. You might even spot a kangaroo or two.

We have limited fresh rainwater, not fluoridated town water so we do ask guests to be considerate when visiting as Mudgee is not known for it's heavy rainfall, especially in the past 10 years. :(
