Coastal Community Drum Circle

Rocky Drum Circle come together on the 1st & 3rd Monday of each month at 7 pm to join together rhythmically by playing hand drums and percussion instruments creating our own drum circle music. No experience with music or drumming is needed at all. Just join the circle and play what feels good & connects with the sounds of the rest of the groups grooves.
Drum circles are proven by scientific research to provide great health benefits to our immune system, our mental health, our sense of wellbeing, our sense of belonging & community. But really, this is not anything new! Community music making is ancient technology for maintaining community, health & wellbeing that has been relied upon by many different cultures worldwide.
Why should music making be left to the professionals or classically educated musicians only? Modern times see us abandoning music as a fun, feel good way of expressing ourselves, of connecting with ourselves & others & staying healthy. We now just pay to listen to music instead!
