Capital Works




The capital works program has been underway since summer 1997 when a Capital Works levy was introduced to be paid by all members each season. This was an attempt to generate some funds for the improvement of the facilities at the Club.

A grant was received in July 1998 for $15000 from the Gaming Fund for the purpose of building a storage shed/Clubhouse. This facility was erected in January 1999, power and water were connected and a kitchen facility was then installed. The total cost was approximately $23000. The Robina Braves Baseball Club ran an Art Union in 1997/98 and more recently a major raffle, as fund-raising ventures to raise funds to supplement the grant.

Plans have been approved by council for the further development of the fields, including dug-out facilities on all four diamonds, batting cages, bull-pen and equipment shed. As you would have noticed stage one of these facilities is currently underway, dugouts are being erected along with a batting cage and bull pens. It is anticipated that with the fulfilment of these plans the Club will attract a greater number of players. In order to complete further stages of development we are seeking a major sponsor and invite any company or individual to assist in sponsorship of the Robina Braves and in return you will be given the opportunity to promote your company in a variety of options which may be discussed with our committee.
