Benefits of working for Us

The ongoing commitment in providing personal growth and satisfaction amongst our Educators and childcare staff by providing stimulating educational experiences for the children and exceptional communication and service to parents and staff. RKR is dedicated to creating a work environment that enables our Educators and staff to flourish. We exist to facilitate professional development of our Educators and staff of whom we encourage the engagement of collaborative relationships.
A supportive working environment creates team work. All Educators and staff are provided with ongoing inspiring professional development opportunities to remain up to date with present theory and most importantly support positive learning and practices outcomes for children. Workshops are developed to help improve the professional development of our teams. Our Educators along with the child’s family are responsible for creating the positive transition a child makes from home to childcare and kindergarten to school; therefore it is imperative that our company provide such tools, training and guidance as possible to help our Educators achieve excellence.
An appraisal system also supports our employee’s opportunities for growth and sets goals for the coming year’s professional development.

What your children will learn:

Our learning program is directly based on the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia and the Early Years Learning and Developmental Framework. The vision is for “All children to have the best start to life to create a better future for themselves and for the nation” (EYLF, 2009).
The Framework includes practice principles and desired outcomes for children, families and educators to utilise to further every child’s development and learning.
We encourage children to participate in a variety of activities to extend and develop their knowledge and skills. The learning areas include language, mathematics, science, technology, social sciences, art, health and physical wellbeing.
Our quality program promotes each child’s individual skills by focusing on their interests and strengths using portfolios to highlight the children’s strengths, interests, and learning dispositions.
Methods such as digital photographs, stories and observations are collated into each child’s individual portfolio. Our Educators support and guide each individual child to reach their full potential.
RKR offers opportunities for children to:
• develop as knowledgeable and confident self-identities
• feel safe, secure and supported
• develop a sense of belonging
• become socially responsible and show respect for the environment
• become strong in their social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing
• take responsibility for their own health and physical well being
• develop dispositions for learning such as creativity, enthusiasm, persistence, cooperation
• develop problem solving and research skills
• experiment with sand, water and sensory materials
• display competent communication skills
• develop early numeracy, literacy and science skills
• be creative and expressive through activities including painting, music, collage, movement, dance, finger painting, drawing, cutting, pasting and story sharing
The learning environment includes a variety of planned and spontaneous activities, small group and individual interactions, active and quiet, indoor and outdoor opportunities. Our Educators provide children with an extensive range of resources and educational experiences to support their journey.

Parental involvement
We believe in developing positive relationships and establishing partnerships between children, educator’s families, management and the wider community.
To ensure children are reaching their highest potential it is fundamental to establish collaborative teams to create a quality learning environment. Regular family information nights and family events will be held to encourage involvement and participation in the organisation. Parental association is vital to the smooth running of this organisation; we can not sustain the importance of your input in focusing on what the future has in mind for Renmark Kinder Resort Childcare in 2012 and its future.

Our vision:
Our kindergarten and childcare have been specially designed to provide an environment which is safe, nurturing, and dynamic for individual learning. The high quality education program features a child-centred approach that recognises the unique characteristics of each individual child, with routines that are flexible and tailored to meet their needs. This learning is supported and extended by teaching staff that are training or fully qualified in early childhood education.

I recognise that children’s education is a journey. I believe there is train that represents the journey children take while attending our centre. Children begin this journey at different ages and stages in their life. A train ride enables children to hop on and off at different stages of their development but also enables the children’s family to get on board and be involved in the child’s journey. This is essential to create collaborative partnership with the children’s families.
I believe our Educators take on the role as the train driver. They drive the children’s learning by providing environments that foster growth and stimulate children to the extent each individual needs.
The train track symbolises that all the children in the centre are heading in the same direction. The train heads forward as we aim to encourage children’s knowledge and skills of the world around them.
Our Team:
