Take a step back in time and enjoy walking, bicycling, horseback riding, or canoeing through beautiful and historic Riverbend Park. From the ancient Indian middens, through the Second Seminole War Battlefields, to present day habitat restoration efforts, see Florida as the first settlers did.
Stroll along the Wild and Scenic Loxahatchee River, visit the Florida Cracker Farmstead, and picnic under the shade of a Seminole chickee. Outdoor fun in open spaces; nearly Ten (10) miles multi-use shell-rock trails for walking, and biking, seven (7) miles of earth and grass equestrian trails for horseback riding, and five (5) miles waterways for paddlecraft (canoeing/kayaking), freshwater fishing, wildlife viewing, allow for hours of enjoyment. In addition to multiple picnic areas, Riverbend Park offers living history events and programs, park naturalist guided walks & programs. Volunteers needed for all park activities.

Picnic Areas:
First come –first served basis. This is a trash free area come prepared to pack out your trash. Vehicular access is limited to picnic chickees located on Picnic Island; otherwise access through hiking or biking.
East Grove Picnic Area:
Chickee sits 20-30 people, barbeque grill available
Big Hammock Picnic Area:
Chickee sits 20-30 people, barbeque grill available
Cow Pen Picnic Area:
Chickee sits 35-45 people, barbeque grill available

Picnic Island Area (vehicular access):

Equestrian trailer parking is available at the equestrian trail head. All vehicles and trailers must be out of the parking areas before the park closes at sunset.
