River Downs, owned by Don and Karen Sullivan, is set on 150 acres on the Brisbane River near the picturesque country town of Toogoolawah. With first class facilities, River Downs offers a wide range of services to equestrians

We offer coaching in showjumping and dressage to all ages and levels of riders from beginners to serious competitors. Nervous riders and those returning to riding after a break are especially welcome. Clinics are held regularly as well as monthly competition days.

A 60m x 60m grassed sand jumping arena with competition standard showjumps and a 60m x 20m sand dressage arena are both floodlit. There is also a 60m by 20m covered arena.There is ample parking, stables, yards and wash bay along with an amenities block and canteen. Our facilities are available for hire to individuals and clubs. Horse starting, training and competition preparation for showjumping and dressage is offered. We specialize in working with both horse and rider to resolve any problems they are experiencing. Instructional sessions in groundwork, behavioural problem solving and trailer loading can be arranged.

River Downs specializes in the breeding of Warmblood sport horses from proven performance bloodlines. Usually a range of horses are available for sale from youngstock to experienced competition horses.
