More about Regal Wraps

Hello from Zac & Kellie

Regal Honey and Regal Wraps are a combined business that we run as a family. The idea behind our business is to be as locally minded and chemical free, as possible.

Regal Honey is produced in hives that we have placed in the yards of local people. The honey is extracted by Zac and then packaged in our home, ready for our raw and totally natural product, to be purchased by you.

Regal Wraps are made from the bees wax produced in our hives. Cotton is used as the material for our handmade Regal Wraps. Any other ingredients that are added for cohesion in Regal Wraps are flora saps, and totally natural. There are no additives or chemicals in our products.

We are very proud of our products and hope that you will support us in our quest to share our raw honey and to save the planet one wrap at a time.

-WHAT DO I DO?-
Fold your colourful patterned REGAL WRAPS around food items as you would with other plastic wraps. Cover food, or wrap items such as cheese, veggies, sandwiches, cookies, and many other foods. Just use the warmth of your hands to mould the REGAL WRAPS to the item you wish to cover.
You can also use your REGAL WRAPS to make a handy pouch. Just fold a wrap in half, and then fold the edges over to form a seal using the warmth of your hands.

Beeswax itself never goes bad, but overtime and with constant use, the protective wax coating on your REGAL WRAPS will eventually wear away. You can give your wrap life again (feel free to call me for instructions), or why not do a little experiment with your REGAL WRAP? When your wrap has reached the end of its life dig a hole in your backyard and bury it – unlike plastic it is a bio-degradable product and will break down quickly without a trace. On average it takes plastic 450 years to degrade.

-WHY SHOULD YOU USE REGAL WRAPS?-
REGAL WRAPS can last a full year depending on care and use. More heavily used wraps might not last so long.
Beeswax wrap is a far more sustainable option to standard plastic wrap. Do your bit to prevent more plastic being produced for landfill
It is a far healthier way to wrap your food in REGAL WRAPS rather than having toxic plastic wrapped around your food.
You will save $$ if you use REGAL WRAPS instead of purchasing plastic cling wrap or plastic seal bags. Also think of the reduction of plastic in landfill.

-HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR REGAL WRAPS-
After using your REGAL WRAPS, hand wash with cool water and very mild dish soap. Alcohol free is best. DO NOT use hot water, or your wax coating may melt. Dry your REGAL WRAPS somewhere flat, or draped over a dish rack, then smooth flat with your hands and store.
Do not put your REGAL WRAPS near heat sources such as the oven, microwave, or dishwasher. Do not leave in the full sun on a hot day or leave anywhere hot enough to melt the surface Beeswax. Beeswax melts at around 62°C, but it does begin to get soft before this temperature, so be wary.
Your REGAL WRAPS are not for use on raw meat, do not use with anything to liquidy in a pouch form, do not use on foods that are still hot. You may also see some staining if REGAL WRAPS comes in contact with brightly coloured foods such as beetroot, curries etc.
To remove any dried on food from your REGAL WRAPS leave the wrap to soak for a few minutes in cold water until the food is soft enough to wash away.
If using your REGAL WRAPS to make a pouch, do not tear the pouch open. Unfold it as it was folded to reduce un-necessary wear & tear on your wraps.
If in doubt, chuck it out. If you think your REGAL WRAP has been compromised, it is best to start again with a new one.
