I am a full-time, professionally accredited, wedding and portrait photographer based in Sydney’s South-West. I am also a wife and a mother to two adorable human children and one little furry child.

My job is to capture love.

Wedding days are such an emphatic expression of love, not only between the newly weds, but from all the extended members of your family and friends. It is a joy to be able to participate and capture the love and happiness that is shared and felt on a wedding day.

Photographs can give us the reminder that we need, now and in many years to come. When children have grown up, when the house is no longer noisy with their laughter and (lets be honest) their screaming and fighting, when they no longer want to hold your hand or need you to kiss them goodnight, when the moments are gone and all we have are memories.

Your kids don’t care if you think you need to lose a few kilos, or if you think you don’t look good in photographs. They don’t care now and they won’t care in the future. What they do want is a photo of you and them together, with you looking at them like they are the most amazing thing on the planet. They want a photo of you giving them a big squeezy hug and laughing out loud.

They want it because it reminds them of how much you love them. They want it because they think you are beautiful- just the way you are.
Our lives are really just collections of short stories bound together by love.

We look back as we get older and remember easily the big stories, the key moments of the events but not the details so much. We weave others into our lives in chapters or as major characters and our stories become entangled together intricately entwined so we soon forget where their story ends and ours begins.

My passion is being able to illustrate the stories of my clients, capturing the details, the feelings and the moments and to paint it in such a way that when you hold that image or gaze at your print, you are forever in that place and in that feeling that you were in the exact moment the photograph was captured.

OUR STYLE

It is our preference whenever we photograph to shoot with glorious, creamy, natural light. There is something beautiful in the gorgeous golden light we get in the hour before sunset and the images we can create in this light are truly some of our favourites.

There are some circumstances that we need to use artificial light sources and we are fully equipped and experienced in creating gorgeous images either way.

Weddings

Every wedding day, much like every couple, is completely different.

We approach each and every wedding with fresh eyes, looking for details and connections and moments to capture. In that sense you could say it is quite a photo journalistic style. We like to spend the ceremony out of the way with our long zoom lenses and catch the expressions and interactions of guests without them realising.

We will give you a few tips and reminders before the ceremony but we really want to just let it unfold and tell the story of your wedding day exactly as it happens.

A lot of clients say they love our relaxed and casual wedding portraits. They often ask for photography that is candid and not posed. What most people actually want is photos to look like that but when put in front of 2-5 photographers and videographers on their location shoot, they look anything but relaxed.

We don’t generally photograph models who are experienced in posing and knowing how their bodies and faces look their best. We photograph ordinary people who are happy and in love and want to look amazing in their photographs. They have their own physical flaws, both real and imagined, and it is our job to bring out the good and hide the bad!

We will not pose you in cheesy outdated positions or places but we will guide you, direct you how to pose and hold your body to look your best.

We will create portraits that look natural, relaxed, candid and beautiful. And we will have fun doing it!

Portraits

We love photographing our portraits in our natural light studio and it is our first choice for newborn and maternity portraits in particular.

We want to create portraits that are classic and intimate that you will love for years to come.

For families we are quite fond of outdoor afternoon sessions in gorgeous golden light at a number of local outdoor locations. We are also open to ideas for portrait locations from our clients and our lifestyle sessions are perfect for family’s that want to incorporate some of their favourite activities into their shoot. In our lifestyle sessions we take a much more journalistic approach and let you do what you do to have fun and we will capture it.

THE STUDIO

We are located in Cecil Hills in Sydney’s South West, only 5 mins down the Elizabeth Drive exit off the M7 motorway and about 10 mins west of Liverpool.

We have a dedicated separate studio space in our family home with a gorgeous natural light space for our newborn photo shoots, professional studio lighting and dedicated meeting areas to see our clients.
