At RHCS we are committed to placing our students at the forefront of all curriculum and program development, policy making, learning and teaching application and decision making to ensure that all our students have the best opportunity to experience success with positive learning outcomes.

We believe 2013 will be an exciting year at RHCS. At the heart of the school’s learning environment is the welfare and happiness of our students. The school works hard to nurture all stakeholders of the learning community encouraging every child to maximise and reach his/her potential.


We want our children to strive to achieve to the best of their abilities through a varied, engaging curriculum that covers the essential learning in the core subjects as well as a wide range of stimulating co-curricular activities. Personalization and an inquiry approach to learning discovery is also strongly encouraged.


Our Staff work as a co-operative team to develop our teaching and learning which is guided by our Strategic Plan and based upon the DEECD Victorian Essential Learnings, which is now moving towards the National Curriculum, with stage one being introduced in 2013. Our all-encompassing aims are in the development of self-worth, resilience, personal growth and risk taking whilst respecting self, others and the environment.


The support and input of the community at large is significant and we encourage all parents to become actively involved in our large range of school activities. The school is characterised by a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and a nurturing culture.



Our staff and the school leadership take our responsibilities as educators very seriously and enjoy our vital role in supporting all students to realise their full potential.
