Our Story...

Established in 2011, Quirky Happy is an Australian owned & operated business based in the beautiful Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. We take joyful, Inspirational & unique hand painted Australian art and turn it into affordable, high quality products that you can enjoy every day.

Our range of beautiful Artworks has been created by a select group of talented Australian Artists. Here is a little background on each of them.

LISA FRANCES JUDD ~ Lisa is our Primary Artist and Director of Quirky Happy. She believes that uplifting, joyful art should be enjoyed in everyday life, which is why she created Quirky Happy Products with her husband Anthony in 2011. Bright, joyful and fun, Lisa's vibrant paintings and drawings have been sold all over the world as originals, prints and products & Lisa is still available to create commissioned original art on request.

"My life turned completely upside down in 2011 when my only Son was diagnosed with Brain Cancer (Glioblastoma Multiforme stage 4). The only thing that kept me remotely together was to paint my pain away with colour and joy," said Lisa.

"Quirky Happy raises money for the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. It's obviously very personal. We donate 10% of every sale of our Angel Heart Design to help this cause. Too many children and young adults die from brain cancer each year."

ANTHONY JUDD ~ Anthony is a Director of Quirky Happy. The best husband ever & our amazing man behind the camera! He is responsible for the majority of our art images carefully taken from the original hand painted artworks.

Anthony now has a small range of fantastic animal themed photographs on our Plush Cushion Range. More of his photographs will be added to our range soon.

REBECCA MCINTYRE ~ Rebecca McIntyre is an artist currently living in Queensland. Her art business is named Abecca's Art. Art for Rebecca is a direct reflection of her soul. Fun, Colourful and full of "Heart".

Rebecca says, "When a piece has turned out well, it's a balance of factors. I love using strong light sources in my artworks to create high chiaroscuro, I do not do it in the traditional sense however, it's more a high level of contrast between the complementary colours bringing as many into play as I can. The balance means it's pleasing to the eye and interesting. Colour is very important to me. I am very interested in colour theory, in the spiritual sense".

"Colour and joy go hand in hand with me, I hope that the expression reaches others. That's what art is about. Reaching out to others. Sharing yourself with them," continued Rebecca. Rebecca sells her original artworks privately.

MARLENE JONES ~  Marlene Jones works from her Blue Mountains art studio in Springwood, NSW, Australia. She started painting 16 years ago as therapy during a period of chronic illness and soon found joy in painting as pain relief.

A selection of Marlene's paintings are available on Quirky Happy products. Marlene paints in many mediums, including oils, acrylics and mixed media and has exhibited in many local art shows & art galleries, Marlene was also chosen to paint for Jeans 4 Genes Day several times. She currently teaches art and is available for art commissions.

ANNA COLLINS ~ Anna is a well known Artist and Art Teacher on the Central Coast of NSW. Anna has been painting her entire life, her art covers all mediums, her forte and favourite is life drawing.

Anna was trained at East Sydney Tech (now known as the National Art School) and has completed a fine arts degree through Newcastle University. She teaches drawing at Gosford Regional Art Gallery from time to time.
