About Us
From Model T to HSV – were in business for the fun of it
Situated 30km north of Toowoomba just of the New England Highway
The museum covers over 3000 square meters of floor space.
It is home to over 120 vintage, veteran, classic & modern vehicles. The collection contains a number of rare vehicles, often in original condition. Included in this collection are Muscle Cars (XU1 Torana, SS LX Torana, Camaro & Various HSV’s) and a Peter Brock collection, covering his Ford and Holden eras and includes the rare Lada Samara.
We have painstakingly combing the entire country, in the process forming the most diverse and one of the largest privately owned collections of Australian cars and memorabilia.
You can view the vehicles that helped shape both Australia’s motoring and social history and discover some of the unique stories of the owners behind them.
For example:
Peter Brock and his cars – His Holdens, Fords and a Lada.
Joe Bjelke-Peterson’s Jag and the Fitzgerald inquiry.
Slim Dusty’s Replica 1935 Caravan – Bumbling Bertha.
Some cars collected are still in the original state of the first owner and some show Australian history and the way we “hotted up” the cars, cars from 60’s, 70’s and 80’s and you will hear words like Speco, Impala, Frenched Aerials, Air Horns, spats, x2 Polariser, Sandman, Sundowner, Drifter and ‘tar top battery’
You will find the Museum is much more than just a collection of vehicles; it is about the people behind the vehicles and their era and has period memorabilia from the 20′s through to the 90′s surrounding the collection.
