What is NLP?

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is the study of excellence and these skills can be learned by anyone to improve one’s effectiveness both personally and professionally. It is a system of alternative therapy, which seeks to educate people in self-awareness and effective communication, and to change their pattern of mental and emotional behaviour so as to attain excellence in any areas of our lives.

Neuro: The Nervous system (the mind), through which our experience is processed via five senses.

Linguistic: Language of the mind ( in the form of the five senses)

Programming: Behavioural patterns that have been learnt through experience in our neurological systems to achieve our specific and desired outcomes.

Therefore, NLP is a connection between neurological process (the mind), language and behavioural patterns that have been learnt through experience and can be organised to achieve specific goals in life.

In other words NLP is how to use Language of the mind to constantly achieve our specific and desired outcomes. To simplify it even further, NLP are life skills and an Instruction Manual for your mind
