Preparing Your Child For School

One of the pressing questions for parent's of children nearing school age is "is my child ready for school".

"Preparing Your Child For School" resulted in a recognition that there its little in the way of information regarding the benchmarks for readiness for school and what can be done by parents to assist there child with readiness for the school setting.

Preparation for school starts when the child is born and builds each year until the child starts his or her schooling journey. The year before school is the most important, but feelings about learning, happy experiences and an interest in the world around the child being long before school is even in sight.

"Preparing Your Child For School" is a comprehensive book providing guidance to new parents in readying their child for school. The book gives ideas for developing the skills your child needs in order to enjoy the school environment and explains why these skills are important. The books gives a guide to parents about how to prepare their child for school, using fun activities which can be enjoyed by both parent and child.

The book is complimented with a CD that contains XXXXXXX and also a children's story book which can be read with the child.

The books author Judie Bulluss is a renowned Education Consultant who taught Preps for many years before working in Early Childhood areas, including developing Perceptual Motor Programs, Word Study, and Spelling Programs now utilised in many Australian schools as well as internationally.

The children's book was written by her son Graeme Bulluss and is written as poems and beautifully illustrated by Estelle Godsman.
