Since 2009, Port Stephens Paddlesports has been offering paddling experiences for everyone within the Port Stephens and it's idyllic Marine Park,.
Come see us at our two locations, Shoal Bay or Nelson Bay, where you can rent Kayaks and Stand Up Paddleboards which provide fun, health/fitness, and the best means to explore our local Marine Park and the ecosystem within it. No need for experience as we will provide you with a short but professional instruction which will have you paddling (either standing on a board or sitting on a kayak) in no time. Our rental locations and paddling boundaries are within safe, sheltered waters but still nearby neighbouring Marine Sanctuaries which can provide the paddler with the chance to encounter local wildlife such as dolphins, turtles and birdlife.
Another option is to join us on our selection of Eco Tours. Designed for the adventurous nature lover, all tours are guided by a highly experienced and qualified instructor who can provide you with the best ingredient in any tour; 'Local Knowledge'. Group numbers are kept small to ensure everyone has the chance to feel the serenity. We offer a morning Discovery Kayak Tour that allows you to really get you out there to explore, and experience our beautiful harbour and it's local wildlife, or a Sunset Tour that provides the opportunity to see Port Stephens in different colour and reflection. Lastly, our SUP Tour is a Stand Up Paddle lesson and Eco Tour all rolled into one, which offers a taste of why Stand Up Paddle Boarding has become the most popular method of on water exploration and fitness these days. After doing this tour, you'll want a board of your own.
If you wish to take up paddling as a regular activity, then we recommend you learn the correct methods as to avoid improper paddling habits and safety hazards. We have years of instructional experience, and we're highly qualified, therefore we can provide you with a professional, fun and very unique lesson. You'll become a passionate paddler as equally as we are.
