POPKE Designs

The name “POPKE” comes from the Ainu word for “warm”. The Ainu are an indigenous people of Hokkaido, an island at Japan’s northern extremity, where it is known for its weather being harsh in winter with lots of snowfall, below zero temperatures and frozen seas.

Imagine what a magical power the word “warm” must have had in the shivering cold winter. We would like to become the light that gives warmth and hopes to others like the word Popke has.
