The Pontian Eagles Soccer Club is an amateur league club, within the South Australian Amateur Soccer League (SAASL). The club was established in 1992 by the Pontian Brotherhood of SA Inc, primarily to provide a facility for the Greek youth of the Pontic Greek community to belong, however the club has since included all youth of South Australia.Supporters of the clubThe club has about 5 000 to 6 000 passionate supporters in South Australia and the club is aiming to provide a family orientated atmosphere during the season.Playing history of the clubSouth Australian Amateur Soccer LeagueOther significant history 1994 - The club won the Dimitria Challenge Cup. 2001, 2002, 2003 - The club won the Nesto Fereira Cup. 2001, 2005, 2005 - The club won the Budapest Cup. 2002 - The club won the Budapest Cup. 2005 - The club defeated the Sydney Pontians Soccer Club in the Kos Brotherhood Cup in Melbourne. 2011 - The club reached the semi-finals in the SAASL Cup as one of the top contenders in the Sunday Premier League.
