Pink Pony-Swasthi
“Swasthi” – Well Being: A Project aimed at supporting South Asian Women recently diagnosed with breast cancer or surviving breast cancer.

The project objectives are as follows:
• To reduce isolation of newly diagnosed women,
• To improve their morale,
• To develop a sense of camaraderie,
• To provide them with relevant information on support services,
• To develop language specific information in at least 3 south Asian languages- Tamil, Hindi and Bengali,
• To develop a blog/Facebook page for the participants to interact and exchange information.

The Project has trained telephone support volunteers who provide telephone support to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients as part of the Cancer Connect Program.
