Piano and flute lessons

Introducing Susan Liyanage, A.Mus.A, ATCL, B Ed, Dip Teach, Kodaly Certificate.
Susan completed her Diploma in Secondary Music Teaching (Kelvin Grove 1982), A.MUS.A., A.T.C.L. (Piano) her Bachelor of Education Studies (USQ Toowoomba, 1993), Kodaly Certificate and Master's Degree in Religious Education (ACU) in 2014. Susan is a qualified and experienced teacher of Music in both her private studio at home and primary and secondary schools. Susan has been tutoring students privately from her home since 1982, entering piano, flute and theory students into A.M.E.B. exams. As an accompanist, Susan has provided piano accompaniment for her flute students when entering their exams. Susan tutors piano students from beginner to high levels and also accepts students wishing to learn keyboard.
Students of all ages and multi-cultural backgrounds have attended Susan's lessons. Susan caters well for students who simply enjoy learning popular music for pleasure as she has also had extensive experience playing the piano in cocktail lounges, restaurants and hotels using popular and blues repertoire.
Susan is an experienced classroom music teacher and has taught in a wide variety of primary and high schools. As she is familiar with current school syllabi and curriculum, Susan has been able to help students from primary up to year 12 level with their music assessment and assignments at school. Susan has also worked in many schools as an instrumental music instructor, having tutored small groups of students in woodwind, brass, percussion and string ensembles, as well as conducting Concert, Stage Bands and Choirs.
Susan's studio is air-conditioned and students have the use of a baby grand piano. Parents are welcome.
