Phillip Johnson Landscapes designs, builds & maintains sustainable habitats. Our mission is to work with nature & not against it, creating landscapes that will last for generations to come.

Since our inception 20 years ago, we have pioneered completely sustainable landscape design. Our landscapes are created using recycled, reclaimed & locally sourced materials, & most require no mains water; ‘billabongs’ sustaining surrounding habitats instead.

In 2013, Phillip Johnson Landscapes constructed our design for the Trailfinders’ Australian Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show. The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) accepted our submission in the first round – an Australian first – and changed our site location so as to showcase its ‘exciting & dynamic design.’

Inspired by the Kimberleys, our Chelsea garden featured a lush desert gorge set against a backdrop of desert wilderness. Our main goal was to bring our sustainable ethos to the world stage & highlight the beauty of the Australian landscape. Not only did we achieve this, the garden was also awarded Gold and Best In Show on a unanimous vote- a first in the shows history!
