Established in 2009, Peninsula Beauty Shed is a professional beauty therapy based business on the Mornington Peninsula specialising in quality volume eyelash extension. Our brand reflects that of high quality and trusted beauty therapy services, all based on delivering an exceptional customer experience. Located among the coastal moonah trees of Rye and also across from the beautiful front beaches of Tootgarook.

Back ground-

Our journey began with the establishment of "Tranquility Beauty by Carmela" based in Richmond during 2009. After many successful years we dreamed of a coastal sea change, aiming to one day continue this success and create a unique beauty environment in our home town of Rye.

We were able to fulfill this dream in 2014 with the help of our old vintage Franklin caravan. After quick restoration, this iconic caravan became the start of our sea change, allowing us to begin offering our exceptional beauty treatments, which in essence really helped shape our overall mission, who we wanted to be as a business and what values we would forever stand by. To our delight, Peninsula Beauty Shed was born.

Humbled by this beginning and now hidden among the tranquil & beautiful coastal moonah trees, sits our custom beauty studio. Peninsula Beauty Shed offers over 17 years experience and specialty knowledge within the beauty industry. We aim to offer only the highest quality beauty services within a naturally welcoming space, allowing us to help enhance your inner and outer well-being.

At Peninsula Beauty Shed, our creative evolution will always continue. We stand by always creating ways to enhance your experience from a beautifully tranquil landscape, signature recycled material design, carefully selected music, connected with a personalised & an above expectation service.

Now in the first half of 2017, we see our journey continue with the opening of "Peninsula Beauty Shed by the bay" located across from the front beach of Tootgarook 2/1889-1893 Point Nepean road (with Saltwood Hair studio- enter via Nepean road). Hoping to deliver a naturally welcoming and warm space in this second location with further flexibility in appointments. We hope you come and experience the new location which is currently open Fridays & Saturdays.

Owner operator Carmela holds a Diploma in beauty therapy with 17years industry experience and is a fully certified Lash Design Specialist of 7 years, providing custom & beautiful lashes to suit your desired look. Reputable "Lash design" South Yarra lashes are used which are applied one by one as handmade fans to each individual natural lash to create a noticeable, glamorous yet still natural look. Each person is different, therefore we tailor a look that you are truly happy with. We also care about your overall lash health and ensure only the up-most care is taken at each appointment. We have forged a reputation of offering a specialty service in quality Eyelash Extensions using the true Russian & classic volume techniques, which was the most popular and highly recommended service in Richmond. We now offer this same service to the Mornington Peninsula.

"Russian Volume Lashes" are offered which is the latest development in eyelash technology sweeping across the globe. This technique safely offers a never achieved result in the lash design industry, offering 200-600 lashes per eye resulting in a natural and volume look. Allow 2-2.5 hours (not for the impatient but stunning results).

Additional services also include spray tanning (using 20min/2hr Naked Tan) priding ourselves on a perfect streak free application. We offer a dedicated spray tan room at Tootgarook using the latest equipment for a comfortable and professional experience.

Waxing services are offered and use the highest salon quality hot & strip wax for even the most sensitive of skins with disposables used for every service.
