Pear Of Stitches

I had been contemplating opening an ETSY store for many years and spent a long time trying to match my sewing skills with a product that I could be passionate about.

One evening, while waiting for my son's IKEA cushion cover to dry, I was engaged in negotiations with my 6-month-old about eating dinner and leaving my improvised cover (blanket wrapped around the cushion) in place.

I decided to make a few spare covers to eliminate the stress of trying to wash the cover quickly and making meal time easier. I set about designing a pattern, selecting the right materials and after a bit of sewing magic my first cushion cover was done.

Chuffed with how it turned out and getting lots of compliments about it I realised that other parents and carers may have similar struggles with their cherubs or be looking to introduce colour and wonder to bub's environment by upgrading their highchair cover. And so here I am :)
