Pachamama Australia

"Pachamama" is an exceptionally beautiful place to stay. The property is spacious and peaceful with a garden full of birds, trees & flowers and it backs right onto the Ovens River. The house has plenty of room with cathedral ceilings and 4 separate living areas including a sunroom. We have an open fireplace which is ideal in the cooler months and our own swimming hole and BBQ areas. You will share all the common areas with JL & Katie and occasionally when he is not off elsewhere living, working or snow boarding, my son Jac.

THERE ARE 2 SEPARATE SPACES AVAILABLE

We have a comfortable double bed in a private room with a beautiful view of our garden and an adjoining mezzanine lounge area for your use. There is a separate toilet and shared bathroom next door on the same level as well as a downstairs shower area. Sheets and towels are provided as is breakfast.

We also have a beautiful 23 foot retro caravan parked near the river under the shade of a big pine tree. It has a bedroom comprising of a comfortable double bed, sheets and towels are again supplied with a fully self contained kitchen, lounge & dining area in the caravan. You will need to use the bathroom at the main house located a few metres away. This area is lit up at night so as to provide safe and easy access. The lounge area can also doubles as a second bed if required for extra guests.

In the winter months we offer ski guiding in the high country or downhill ski guiding in one of our local ski resorts. Katie your guide was born and bread at Falls Creek and is an ex Australian ski champion and qualified ski instructor.

Jean-Louis shares his passion for motorbikes and this beautiful Alpine area with guests interested in visiting the region on two wheels. Departures can be arranged from Melbourne or from Pachamama, with a rented bike or bring your own.

We also offer French Immersion weekends to anyone wanting to improve their French conversation skills. Pachamama provides a beautiful and relaxed environment to have a fun couple of days, exploring the local area & enjoying delicious culinary delights & wine …. all in French.
