The Old Colonists’ Association of Victoria is a leading not-for-profit provider of independent living, assisted living and aged care in Victoria.
The association was formed in 1869 by a group of prominent Melbourne identities led by George Selth Coppin, an actor, Member of Parliament and philanthropist. The association’s first village was established in Rushall Park, North Fitzroy after the Government of Victoria gifted an acreage of land.
Now, just as then, we provide homes in a village setting for older people with particular needs, financial, social, physical or security. We care for around 500 older people each year in four villages in Melbourne and regional Victoria.
We put the needs of our residents first, working with them and their families, the community and philanthropic partners to provide personalised and flexible accommodation, services and support.
The Old Colonists’ of Victoria has DGR status and donations are fully tax-deductible.
