Oceanika Tribal Art

Papua New Guinea is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. The country is one of the most least explored culturally and geographically. The landscape is just as diverse as the many tribes who inhabit it. It is estimated that more than 1000 cultural groups exist in PNG. Because of this diversity, many styles of cultural expression have emerged. Each group has created it's own expressive forms in art, dance, weaponry, costumes, singing, music etc. We hope in addition to selling these amazing artworks, people can also gain more understanding and appreciation of the dynamic culture and it's place in the oceanic region.
