What Is A Toy Library?
A toy library is a place where parents, carers and families can go to borrow a large range of educational toys, games and puzzles for children up to the age of 6. Much like a book library, members can borrow toys for a fortnightly period, then choose more toys on their return.

The Cost Of Toys
Good toys are often so expensive that they are beyond the means of many families. A toy library is able to provide a large selection of quality toys and equipment for loan.Quality toys are expensive and can quickly lose their play value. By borrowing toys, parents can save money and provide new stimulation for their children every couple of weeks.

How We Work
The Ocean Grove Toy Library is run by an elected committee and the members are required to assist in the running of the library by performing one hour of duty per school term. Too easy!

New members are always welcome year round. Membership costs $50 per annum per family with one child. The cost increases by approximately $10 with each extra child. A discounted membership cost is offered to committee members.

The Ocean Grove Toy Library is a member of the Toy Library Association of Victoria. They provide assistance with insurance, recommend toy lists and other vital information.
