NQ Rebound Volleyball

IT'S the best fun you can have at the beach without getting wet.

It's rebound beach volleyball, and is fast becoming one of Townsville's most popular sports.

For the uninitiated, rebound is the same as playing beach volleyball on sand, but with one major exception: You are totally surrounded by nets – the main net you hit the ball over, nets on every side of the court, even a net as the roof.

And that means the already-fast game speeds up to twice as fast, because the ball ricochets off nets to each side and above, and is still in play until it literally hits sand.

Lightning reflexes, speed and agility all help in this game, but it is just as much fun if you are just learning and getting into the sport.
