My name is Pollyemma Antees. I am an Accredited Practising Dietitian and member of the Dietitians Association of Australia. I have recently commenced practice in Moree, am offering after hours appointments, and am available to accept referrals. I am passionate about assisting you in improving the nutrition and health of Moree residents.
I have more than 15 years experience, with 5 of those as the Senior Dietitian at Far West NSW Medicare Local and 8 years as the Moree Dietitian at Moree Community Health. My qualifications include a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition and Dietetics) from Queensland University of Technology. I am currently studying at University of Technology, Sydney a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management. this course will allow me to become a Credentialed Diabetes Educator.
Achievements of the last 15 years include
- Starting the Outback Dietitians Clinical Supervision group
A group of eight Dietitians that meet fortnightly to discuss non-identifiable case studies. I am the Clinical Supervisor and facilitator.

- The Western NSW Access and Availability Survey
Surveyed ¾ of NSW to determine the level of Food Stress in Western NSW. Coordinated over twenty organisations

- The Outback Cookbook: Cheaper than chips
Pictorial Cookbook to assist people with low literacy and cooking knowledge the skills to prepare healthy and nutritious meals

- Change: Outback style
A lifestyle modification manual to be used by non-Dietitians to deliverer group programs

- Moree Community Kitchens program
A cooking and nutritional program aimed at increasing nutritional knowledge in Moree.

Working in private practice enables me to practice according to my values of promoting sustainable, positive health change. As everyone is an individual (with a unique health profile, individual food likes and dislikes, and a family/work life), there cannot possibly be a ‘one diet fits all’ approach.
As well as my knowledge in Food Allergies and Coeliac Disease, I am also experienced and up-to-date in clinical research in the diet-disease relationships of most health conditions – including heart conditions, cholesterol, bowel conditions and metabolic conditions. I also have a special interest in Diabetes, Renal, Liver and Paediatrics.
Health Promotion and Group Education I enjoy greatly. I am available for Health Promotion events or can developed an individual program for your group or employees. I am also able to provide Diabetes Education Groups as part of an EPC referral.

Most Australian health funds have levels of cover that give a rebate for visits to private practice Accredited Practising Dietitians. Your staff may also get a rebate through the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) primary care items for a chronic health condition (such as type 2 diabetes) that their GP is coordinating. Medicare rebates are also available for people with type 2 diabetes attending group sessions run by an Accredited Practising Dietitian.
