The Noosa Creative Precinct Association has been formed by key figures in the business end of the arts, design, media, entertainment, digital, & creative industries to platforms the possibilities of collaboration across key community and government sectors in the Noosa region.

We aim to achieve economic and cultural growth, first by inject some much-needed energy into the support and understanding of the emerging creative industries at a local government level. Along side that we aim to connect the community more positively to it’s civic and community centres, consequently bring about stronger social cohesion.

Secondly to this, we aim to provide greater resilience to economic fluctuations abroad by diversifying our business base, to foster the new, unique, and not-often-understood-at-first ideas that have opportunities to thrive under our economic and demographic conditions. We aim to always strengthening the industries unique to this region, and to foster the growth of industries that we see add to the specific liveability of the region, and add to the credentials we have (as opposed to threaten them e.g. Noosa Civic 2.0)

As a national leader in tourism, with a strong international presence, we want to galvanise the Noosa Shire economy against the current and future storms of global economic shifts, by incentivising & encourage business' that foster longer term economic sustainability, specifically those in the emerging digital realm. Today, innovative performance is a crucial factor in determining competitiveness and national progress. Moreover, innovation is paramount to helping address global challenges, such as climate change and sustainable development. Locally

It is paramount that the Noosa Council understands the language these industries use, and can enter the conversation, the NCP will act as translator at first, teacher second, and our aim is to have a digitally fluent future-ready local government within 2 years.

We all agree that Noosa is a unique town, that’s why we are privileged to call it home. As the old models of commerce and industry break apart , there are, swiftly sweeping changes to how people live and work outside our coastal bubble as Australia embraces new industries and ideas.
Our small coastal community, with it’s international credentials in environment and tourism, needs to start walking the walk of what real sustainability looks like.

Much needed changes to how we live, particularly our planning, with regards to density, renewable energy sources, clustered services like transport & waste, all need to be viewed with fresh eyes and a global perspective, one that local Business groups and community organisations cannot provide.

the Noosa Junction particularly needs it's own "uniqueness".

We aim to deliver increased visitor numbers, higher quality arts and entertainment programmes that properly reflect the greater Noosa brand's idea of a civic centre, whilst balancing and strengthening the productivity and sustainability of our broader economy.
