ABOUT ME
I am not your average maths tutor you find in the local newspaper. Having completed Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from UTS, I do maths tutoring because I truly love it.
I gain a lot of satisfaction from seeing my students faces when they have their ‘aha!’ moments- when things suddenly makes sense for them. I feel proud and gain a sense of achievement as I watch them grow to reach his or her potential in maths.
I am friendly, approachable and I have plenty of experience in understanding the learning technique of each student, what motivates them and what they usually get stuck on.
My students usually discover very quickly that it really is possible for them to improve in maths and because they start to gain a better understanding, they become much more interested in learning further.
Their newly developed abilities instil a sense of confidence with maths and this enables them to be much more productive in the classroom and at exam time.

MATHS
Strong maths skills are important for career development after school. Many universities and employers pay more attention to maths results than any other subjects.
It’s true that some children struggle with maths at some stage in their development, while others appear naturally gifted mathematicians. Usually if a student has missed out on understanding one or more important topics at school, much of what they do later will not make sense to them.
With the help of maths tutoring, it’s easy to discover exactly what areas the student is weak in, and then work on it to the level where they can understand and excel in class.

1-ON-1
Every child learns a different way. By operating on 1-on-1, individual strengths and weaknesses can be monitored.
Providing the attention and support they need to allow them to learn at their own pace.
Often resulting in an improvement of their self-esteem and grades.

WHAT TO BRING?
Students are asked to bring:
- an empty exercise book,
- a pencil case,
- a calculator (for Years 7 to 12),
- their textbook from school, and
- any other worksheets, past exam papers or homework problems that they would like to go through.

PRACTISE, PRACTISE PRACTISE…
Maths is a language, the more you practise, the better you will become at it. This is the core reason is why homework is an absolutely essential part of the learning process.
Homework will be assigned after each lesson and it is imperative that parents ensure that it is completed, so we can go over it in the following lesson.

FEES
1-ON-1 maths tutoring in my home
casual pay as you go session: $70 per hour
5 week prepaid sessions: $60 per hour
10 week prepaid sessions: $50 per hour

1-ON-1 maths tutoring in your home
casual pay as you go session: $140 per hour
5 week prepaid sessions: $120 per hour
10 week prepaid sessions: $100 per hour
