Nashama Equine

Nashama Equine provided farriery, barehoof trimming, equine bodywork (a combination of chiro, massage and acupressure) and equine acupuncture services to the ACT and Southurn Tablelands of NSW.

We are located 40km south of Goulburn in lovely Lake Bathurst.

Glen Hammond is farrier and bodyworker to a large variety of pleasure and performance horses who excel in disciplines as diverse as 1* eventers to top 10 Shahzada endurance horses.

Julia Wynn is an Equine Therapeutic Acupuncturist and former riding instructor. However Julia generally does not practice, her main job is to test any product we recommend. SHe is also a qualified Work Health Safety Officer.

We breed Arabian and Arabian derivative horses for our own pleasure and for family and friends and have two lovely purebred Arabian stallions, Nashama Ben Tahl (Torryburn Tahl ex Moonlite Belle) and Nashama Zainal (Silver Somerio ex Moonlite Belle) and a palomino partbred colt, Nashama Firestorm (Nashama Ben Tahl ex Brandy Creme Pussa) waiting in the wings. Over the years our horses have been used as teaching horses, show horses, endurrance horses, harness horses, pentathlon horses, pony club horses and demonstration horses with Julia.

We are proud to have a very long hirstory of community service, both being 30+ year veterans of the NSW Rural FIre Service but also donating a significant amouin of time and sponsorship to disadvantaged children, Riding for the Disabled and horse rescue over the years.
