SES volunteers support other emergency service organisations such as the CFA during major bushfires and perform road rescue.
There are a variety of hands-on operational roles that our volunteers complete. Roles include:
•General rescue •Rescue boat operations •Urban search and rescue •Rope rescue •Road rescue •Land rescue •Traffic management •Community education
We understand that rescue focused roles are not for everyone. Volunteering with the SES doesn't have to involve lights and sirens - there are important non-operational support roles that provided valued assistance to the unit and also help you build professional skills.
If you would like to volunteer with the Myrtleford SES or would like more information, training nights are held every Monday night @ 730pm or you can phone the unit controller (Jason forber) 0418369248
