More about Mullum Mullum Indigenous Gathering Place

The idea for the establishment of the Mullum Mullum Indigenous Gathering Place Ltd (MMIGP) began around 1999-2000, when some members of the Indigenous community who reside in the Eastern Metropolitan areas of Melbourne, were meeting socially at BBQ’s in the local parks.

The model for the MMIGP became reality in 2005 when a small number of the Indigenous community decided that there was a great need for a place to gather together and run Indigenous cultural activities that would meet the needs of the Indigenous families and community members in the Eastern Metropolitan Region.

Some of the programs and services that we deliver to our Indigenous Members are-

Elders Network-
This program provides planned group activities, excursions and opportunities for social interaction.

Men's Network-
Provides activities and positive networking opportunities for local Indigenous Men.

Burrai Playtime-
Aboriginal Playgroup for Aboriginal children in the Eastern Metropolitan Region.

AHPACC-
The Aboriginal Health Promotion and Chronic Care Program (AHPACC) is designed to support both The Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations and the Community Health Services.

Women's Network-

Youth Group-
