Mission
The purposes for which the Federation is established are to:

• Create a single uniform entity through and by which the sport and the art of Muaythai can be conducted, promoted and administered in and throughout Australia;

• Provide for the conduct, encouragement, promotion and administration of Muaythai through and by various State organisations;

• Affiliate and otherwise liaise with the World Muaythai Council, International Federation of Muaythai Amateur, the Australian Sports Commission and the Australian Olympic Council in the pursuit of these purposes and the art of Muaythai;

• Promote high levels of athlete participation for the athletes in the Australian team that compete at the world championships in Thailand, the Arafura games in Darwin, the European championships, the Kings Cup Thailand and the Asian games.

• Encourage and promote performance-enhancing drug free competition.

• Conduct, encourage, promote, advance, standardise and develop Muaythai in Australia;

• Ensure that a high standard of Muaythai is maintained;

• Develop a sense of sportsmanship and a high degree of proficiency in practitioners of Muaythai;

• Enable practitioners to achieve a high level of physical and mental fitness through the teaching and practice of Muaythai;

• Organise instructor, referees and judges courses, to further increase the knowledge and standardize Muaythai around Australia.

• Improve Muaythai rules and regulations for the education, safety, health and welfare of all athletes and the community.

General information

Muaythai Australia is a non-profit organization that regulates, controls and supervises professional and amateur Muaythai events in Australia. Its primary objective is to maintain and promote excellence in the Art of Muaythai. This is predominantly a cultural Art-Form, in addition, is a form of self-defence and a popular ring-sport. We are a member of the Australian Sports Commission that recognizes Muaythai Australia as the sole Muaythai sanctioning body to promote the sport of Muaythai in our country. Muaythai Australia is affiliated with the World Muaythai Council (WMC) and the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur (IFMA).

Muaythai Australia aims to work with the local communities in all states, highlighting the positive aspects of the ancient art of Muaythai and the diverse life skills, positive ethics and principles that are associated with the sport of Muaythai.
