Mt Buffalo Olives

Elisa and Colin Bertuch began creating their farm on the foothills of Mount Buffalo in 1998.
With the help of a bulldozer, Colin carved out 22 terraces on a north facing ridge to create the olive grove. To ensure a complex blend of premium quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil, they planted 900 trees of ten different varieties and Mt Buffalo Olives was born.
The olives are hand harvested in May by a dedicated contingent of friends and family. They are pressed on the farm and the multi-award winning extra virgin olive oil, table olives and Elisa’s range of gourmet goodies, crafted from the wonderful local produce, are available at the farm gate and at selected local and regional outlets.
