MFDC operates under the State and National Standard legislation framework of Family Day Care. We strongly believe that a safe and nurturing environment plays a major role in children’s wellbeing and development. This is why we strictly select our carers and provide them with all the necessary training to ensure that all carers understand their role and responsibility within the Family Day Care Environment.

About Our Care Providers
All our educators go through a number of steps, assessments and trainings before they can be registered as carer.

They come from a range of cultural backgrounds
They are everywhere in Brisbane
Have a strong relationship with children and their families and work with a small number of children.
Are individually matched with

families to ensure an alignment of values approaches to child learning.
Have relevant training, qualification and experiences, and they are supported by a team of Coordination Unit, who regularly visit their homes and provide program and activities advice.

Vacancies:

Age: 6 month to 14 years

Before and After school care

Flexible hours including evening and afternoon care

Family Day Carers are small business operators, working from home with a small group of children (7 children max).

To become a registered carer with MFDC you must have the following characteristics:

- you must be prepared to work hard as part of highly motivated dynamic team, to provide a high quality child care service

- Must have the willingness and eager to learn
- Must have/ must be willing to have valid Positive Notice (Blue Card) and current First Aid
- Must have a safe environment to care for children
- Must be prepared to comply with Child Care Regulations,
FDC Policies and Quality Assurance requirements.
