DESCRIPTION
Monash Accommodation Pty Ltd offers quality accommodation at Clayton, Victoria ideally suited to the needs of international and local students studying at Monash University and its affiliated colleges, Clayton.
Privates-Owned, its twin residential facilities at 2 Arnott street (known as 'Monash Accommodation') and 42 Wellington road (known as 'Monash Campus Apartments') are strategically located across the main entrance to the University, and are designed for students seeking to live in a SAFE, QUIET, and HOMELY environment.
Students living at our premises take part in a community of fellow-students sharing similar challenges, developing friendships and coping with common pressures. Monash Accommodation encourages amongst students a sense of community and international understandings.
MANAGEMENT
The friendly management of Monash Accommodation Pty Ltd is experienced and most familiar with the requirements of overseas students. The Managements endeavours to assist newly arrived overseas students wherever possible.
SECURITY
Security on the premises is tight with access to the building only by intercom or card-key. No outsiders are allowed onto the premises before registering at the Office.
FACILITIES
All bedrooms are heated with a private ensuite bathroom and kitchenette for light cooking. Each room contains a bed, chair, desk, armchair, walk-in wardrobe and bookshelves. Students are required to provide their own pillows and beeline. A study-lamp may also be necessary.
Rooms at Monash Campus Apartments are also furnished with dining furniture, fridge and gas/hood appliances. Students MUST pay for their own electricity/ power and telephone usage. Only gas and water consumption are included in the rent.
Coin operated washing machines and dryers are located within a common laundry room along with a vacuum cleaner and iron.
PARKING
Parking is available for both buildings with each tenant entitled to one car-park lot.
LOCATION
Both Monash Accommodation at 2 Arnott street, and Monash Campus Apartment at 42 Wellington road are situated within a ONE MINUTE WALK to Monash University.
This area is serviced by buses to Monash University, Caulfield and Berwick campuses. Buses also service the surrounding areas, including Clayton town, Clayton train station, Chadstone shopping centre and Melbourne city.
RENTAL AGREEMENT
The tenancy period is for a minimum of 52 weeks. A one-month bond payable to the Residential Bond Authority is also required upon signing of the agreement and refunded upon termination of the rental period.
Electricity and telephone usage are not included in the rent.
