Introduction
Mitchelton State School has a clear focus on quality teaching and learning and making our students the highest priority. The school is renowned for its inclusive practices with our students coming from diverse backgrounds including our special needs students, military families and a number of international students. Our commitment to excellence and high standards is reflected in the achievements of students in recent years. With a committed staff and supportive parent body our school has created a culture where learning is valued and high expectations are championed across a number of areas including our academic, cultural & sporting achievements.

Our Fundraising
Run by the P&C of Mitchelton State School, Mitchie Fest has helped to fund a number of projects over the last decade including Electronic Whiteboards for every classroom, Learning Response Units, Emotions teaching systems (Kimochi) and other new technology for special needs children, Drama lessons, a staffed Tuckshop and construction of our School Hall.

As you enter the school from Glen Retreat Road you will see our fantastic new tennis court upgrade. By Fete Date you will also see a major upgrade between our school B & C Blocks showcasing a much more play friendly area for our students. This has all been made possible by the P&C contributing funds from the 2014 Fete. This year we’ve highlighted the need to raise enough funds to help complete the playground upgrade between A & B Blocks and the Basketball Area at the back of the school.

Mitchie Fest provides an opportunity for local businesses to benefit from the considerable goodwill generated by supporting its major biennial fundraising event. By becoming a Mitchie Fest sponsor, your organisation is able to demonstrate your commitment to the school and the community at large. With approximately 400 current students, and past students & teachers all interested in the centenary at Mitchelton State School, we expect your business’ exposure will be in excess of 5000 people. With sixty to seventy per cent of business coming from the local area – why not show attendees at Mitchelton State School fete why being loyal locally, is a bonus for them and you?
